I have admired Alishan’s work for years, so it’s been an honor to have a chance to photograph some of their recent collections. Here are a few pairs of earrings that we have shot, which I’ve added some graphic elements to for an Instagram post.
I love the way these shots turned out for WHITE/SPACE Jewelry. Here are a few of the images from the shoot we did of their earring threaders and pink pearl jewelry. It was a little tricky finding a way to hang the threaders without any posts/backs for support, but we got creative and found a way to show them off.
Here are the shots from a photo shoot I did for PBP Imports. They requested this angle for the studs, and I think it turned out really nicely, showing both the shape/luster of the pearl as well as the style of post/back on the stud.
I love these shots that we took before the holidays for this special collection from Zina Sterling Silver in Beverly Hills. The pieces have such beautiful shapes.
Here are a few of the latest shots I’ve done for Julez Bryant. Each shot was achieved slightly differently: the yellow gold hoops are a duplicated photo of one earring (which was photographed hanging from some clear wire), the yellow gold studs were shot as they look: laying next to each other on a flat surface, and the rose gold hoops are duplicated + horizontally inverted copies of one photo (also shot hanging from clear wire).
Here are a couple shots from another project I did recently for Katherine & Josephine, featuring these lovely starburst and studded earrings. I like the way that the positioning of both of these pairs is a bit interesting, without being distracting. To me, white background jewelry photography is first and foremost about showing a true image of what the piece looks like (especially since these photos are often used in e-commerce and catalogs), while the styling and other surrounding elements are great ways to add some visual depth.
