Pearl Earrings by Baggins Pearls
I had a fun time shooting for Baggins Pearls, experimenting with new lighting including strobes and new styles of diffusion.

I love the way these shots turned out for WHITE/SPACE Jewelry. Here are a few of the images from the shoot we did of their earring threaders and pink pearl jewelry. It was a little tricky finding a way to hang the threaders without any posts/backs for support, but we got creative and found a way to show them off.
Here are the shots from a photo shoot I did for PBP Imports. They requested this angle for the studs, and I think it turned out really nicely, showing both the shape/luster of the pearl as well as the style of post/back on the stud.

Another photo shoot for Mr. Colored Stones: Joe De Bella, of DeBella Fine Gems & Jewelry Arts. Per usual, we’re doing a white background version of each piece (shown here), as well as an ivory colored background that Joe likes to use on his website. I adore both of these rings: the pink pearl set off by zircons on either side, and the emerald in a sea of sapphires.
In other, unrelated news, I’m getting quite tired of this blog’s layout and will be devoting some time to fix it up before the autumn onslaught arrives next month!
Another successful shoot for DeBella Fine Gems & Jewelry Arts. This time I got to shoot some lovely pink and lavender pearls, sapphire slices, and these amazing quartz rings with mossy inclusions (these went straight under the microscope after they arrived). I do two versions of all the photos I take for Joe: one on a white background just like these, and an identical one on an ivory-colored background. His graphic designer likes using the white background versions for print advertising, but Joe likes having the ivory versions for his website.
