Here’s a 3-part shoot I did of Julez Bryant’s beautiful rose gold ring featuring a large checkerboard cut rose de france (pink amethyst). We shot this ring at three separate angles to show the stone and design aspects, then delivered the images individually as well as a compilation, shown here.
I did this photo shoot for Vaya Island, and love the way they came out. They had a very specific look they were going for as far as lighting/positioning of the pieces, and I think they turned out really nicely with the dramatic shadows and light/dark contrast on the metal.
Another photo shoot for Mr. Colored Stones: Joe De Bella, of DeBella Fine Gems & Jewelry Arts. Per usual, we’re doing a white background version of each piece (shown here), as well as an ivory colored background that Joe likes to use on his website. I adore both of these rings: the pink pearl set off by zircons on either side, and the emerald in a sea of sapphires.
In other, unrelated news, I’m getting quite tired of this blog’s layout and will be devoting some time to fix it up before the autumn onslaught arrives next month!
